CEREMONY FOR JOINT TRAINING PROGRAM BETWEEN KENT AND FMIT (27/09/2007)
On 27th of September, 2007, a ceremony was held to launch a joint training program between Kent Institute, Australia and Institute of Financial Management & Information Technology (FMIT). The event was held in the Hall of Youth Union of Binh Thanh District and many local VIPs attended.
This is the third training agreement that Kent Institute, Australia has signed in Vietnam. Previous agreements have been made with the College of Business Administration for Managers (CBAM) in 2004 and Can Tho University in 2005.  The joint training programs operate under the supervision of Kent Institute, Australia and the graduates will have the skills and knowledge to meet the recruitment needs of Vietnamese and foreign companies. Initially the Diploma of Business Management will be offered as part of the agreement.

 

 

 

Open Day at Kent in September, 2007 (04/09/2007)

 

 

 

On Sep 04th, 2007, Kent held an Open Day for over 150 students of Diplomas in Business Management, Business Marketing and Information Technology, term 2007-2009.

These Diploma programs are under the supervision of Kent Institute of Business and Technology, Australia. Vietnamese students can save up to 40% of their cost compared with those studying in Australia if they study in Vietnam.
Based on the standards of international education, Kent has met the requirements of facilities, course materials, professional teaching staff… Moreover, many services are available for students such as library with wireless internet, canteen, English clubs, career orientation seminars, student tours…
Currently, Kent has a special offer for all students who enroll before December, 2007. A discounted tuition fee up to 800USD is reserved for the students of Diplomas taught in English. Three-month English for Business course plus free TOEIC test are for those of Diplomas taught in Vietnamese. Furthermore, to encourage the students to achieve the best results, Kent will offer them some scholarships to further their overseas studies.

 

 

 

Kent International College holds "English for Housekeepers"
graduation for Norfolk Group staff
In an exciting and happy event at Kent International College a group of housekeepers from Norfolk apartments were presented with their achievement awards on Tuesday evening 21 august.
Speeches of congratulations from Greg Radford the principal of Kent and Sven von Moock General Manager of the Norfolk Group added to the color and importance of the event.
Mr Radford spoke of the significance of English language training in Vietnam today and Mr von Moock explained the importance of language skills to his company.
The members of the group were presented with their awards and Nguyen Thi Ngoc Tram was judged by her teachers to be the top student.

TOP 10 POPULAR TRAINING CENTER ANNOUNCED BY EDU.VIETNAMWORKS.COM
The Education Webpage of Vietnamworks.com (http://edu.vietnamworks.com) has recently conducted a survey of the 300 training centres in HCM City and Hanoi. Named “Surveying on Study Needs in the Integration Time” it attracted 13,500 participants to vote for the top 10 training centres in Viet Nam.
The results of the survey have recently been announced and Kent International College is very proud to be on the list as one of the ten most popular training centres.
This is a great achievement that recognises Kent’s reputation as a provider of high - quality training programs. The outcome of this survey confirms Kent’s position as a leader in the Education & Training market in Viet Nam.

KENT BUSINESS DIPLOMA STUDENTS RECEIVED NATIONAL RECOGNITION IN HSBC COMPETITION June 2007


Kent Business Management Diploma students were ranked among the top ten in a national competition named “The HSBC Young Entrepreneur Awards”. This is a regional business plan writing competition that invited talented students from Asian countries to display their creativity and business acumen. This national competition attracted over 200 teams from universities and colleges throughout Vietnam. Two teams of students (named below) from Kent International College, who are studying their Australian Diploma Qualifications, had been selected into the top ten list. The final round takes place in Hong Kong.
Throughout this competition Kent’s business diploma students showed their initiative and other essential management skills such as problem solving, presentation skills, business planning skills… All these skills have been achieved from their studies at Kent International College. The Principal Mr. Greg Radford congratulates the students on their outstanding achievements and for their dedication to their studies.

Kent gets official Government endorsement to become a College
Kent International Education Centre is the first Australian vocational education provider to receive government endorsement and recognition to become a "College" for its operation in Vietnam. According to this Kent International College is permitted to offer educational training in Business, Marketing, Information Technology, Tourism, English, and the tertiary training programs approved by the Ministry of Education, then issue the certifications for its graduates. Kent International College is planning to open a campus in Hanoi in 2007, using the latest Australian curriculum & training materials.


TOEIC Course for VN Airlines Cabin Crew staff
Kent International College has recently won the tender “Improving English skills for Vietnam Airlines staff” held by Vietnam Airlines Cabin Crew Department in HCM City.
Kent International College will organize the whole TOEIC preparation training courses for over 200 Vietnam Airlines Cabin Crew staff starting in   November 2006 and continuing on until June 2007. This program has been designed to improve the English speaking and listening skills of cabin crew staff. Vietnam Airlines recognizes the importance of providing a high class service to its customers.
Kent International College is developing a number of specific English programs for a range of industry sectors to improve communication skills for employees.
