Kent International College celebrated its 6th Graduation Ceremony on May 31st, 2008 for 100 graduates in the Diploma of Business Management; Business Marketing and Information Technology. Around over 200 people attended the Ceremony. Special guests included the Australian Vice Consul, representatives from Universities such as James Cook University – Singapore, Curtin University (Australia), Institute of Financial Management and Information Technology; representatives from industrial organizations/ companies such as Navigos Group, Vietravel, Vietnam Airlines, Abacus Distributions Systems; and representaties from Colleges/ Universities in HCM City.
This year around 50% of graduates have gained employment in private or State/ Foreign owned companies while some graduates are offered jobs from Kent's partners. Around 25% graduates plan to study overseas in Singapore, New Zealand, Australia… while others are preparing for their further academic studies at some international universities in Vietnam.
Special Awards for recognition of academic achievements have been given out to excellent outstanding students who will receive scholarships totally worth over US$20.000 to further study Advanced Diploma in Australia and Bachelor in JamesCook University, Singapore. Also some Encouragement Awards have been handed out to graduates who have achieved the best results in their studying at Kent .
